In addition to the online location library and contact & project management system, the South Carolina Film Commission has also enlisted Reel-Scout to build a film location and crew iPhone app. This app will feature all South Carolina locations available for filming as well as all its local crew and support services companies.

South Carolina's production incentives differ from other states' incentives in that they are a cash rebate, paid to the production company within 30 days of final audit. Other states offer tax credits or tax refunds which require brokers and long waiting periods.
