Athens Film Office has chosen Reel-Scout™ as its location, project, and crew management solution. Reel-Scout™ will provide the film office with a digital location library as well as a contact, project, and crew management system -- all of which will allow the office to refine current practices, respond quickly to inquiries, manage productions, and work more closely with its clients.
The Athens Film Office acts as the official film liaison, collaborating with numerous local and Georgia state partners. It operates under the Athens-Clarke County Public Information Office and holds membership in both the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) and Film USA. The Georgia Music, Film & Digital Entertainment Office, a division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, has designated Athens-Clarke County as a Camera Ready community.
