The California Film Commission announced in a press release last month that it has selected 31 productions to receive this year's California Film and Television Tax Credit. Colorado Launches Online Marketing Tool for Local Production Crew
For filmmakers in Colorado, making movies now gets a little easier. The Colorado Office of Film Television & Media recently launched Colorado Reel-Crew, an online tool developed by Reel-Scout that allows local film crews, marketing companies, directors and film support companies to register their services. With Colorado Reel-Crew, the Colorado Office of Film Television & Media can now track, manage and promote local crew and businesses that provide production support services to companies filming movies, televisions or commercials in the state.
Georgia's Clayton County Becoming Film Location Haven
Grant Wainscott, director of the Clayton County Film, Sports & Entertainment Office said that even though 2012 was the busiest year yet for film production in Clayton County with four major movies filmed here, "you haven't seen anything yet." "We are looking at an even busier year in 2013," Wainscott said. "Although I am not authorized yet to reveal the names of the films, we already have three now in production in Clayton and four to start shooting this summer."

On July 10, 2013, FX will release its new series The Bridge, a moody, atmospheric American police drama starring Demián Bichir (Che, A Better Life) and German actress Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds). The pilot episode was filmed in El Paso, Texas, Tijuana, Mexico, and Los Angeles, California. The Bridge is loosely-based on the Danish/Swedish series Bron, set on the border of Denmark and Sweden.
