After graduating from Duke, Ed Henegar's plan was to teach middle and upper school English for a couple of years and then move on. He failed. Nine years and a master's in English later, he was still at it. Since then, he has worked for a nonprofit, served on the boards of others, and spent several years in the public relations and marketing world. His wife of twelve years is excited about dot.org's future; his three boys (ages 11, 9, and 6) are more excited about their next meal.

A double UVA grad and an architect at heart, Wendi Le says that dot.org is the last company she intends to build. For her former company, she led the development of its internal infrastructure and suite of applications that allowed the company to grow from a start-up to 300 people in 15 months. Would that dot.org be so fortunate. Regardless, her husband of twelve years and her eleven-year-old and four-year-old sons are just glad that mommy has a job. And one that she loves.

Chi Le, Wendi's older sister, is the living embodiment of the age-old adage that "still waters run deep." In this case, very deep. Chi's a Virginia Polytechnic Institute graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering - which means she could re-wire your server one day and your house the next. Impressive. To her credit, Chi says she doesn't mind taking direction from her younger sister - as long as it's delivered with the proper respect. But if ever the sister thing gets to be a little too much, Chi grabs her snowboard or mountain bike (depending on the season) and heads out. These activities, she's found, are even more therapeutic than calling mom. Needless to say, dot.org is a strong proponent of family harmony.

Were Rick Poon not working for dot.org, he'd be a professional chef … or a photographer … or furniture designer … or a ________ (you fill in the blank). Rick's the only guy we know who can prepare a five-star meal, photograph it, and then create a website on which to display it - all before you've finished eating the meal he prepared while sitting on a couch he designed. (It might take him a little more time to actually build the couch.) Multi-talented and multi-accomplished, Rick, a University of California at Irvine graduate, is truly dot.org's Renaissance man. The best part, though, is that he serves in the same capacity for our clients.

shanon@dotorggroup.com

For her former employer, Shanon Hart was the Chief Knowledge Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategy, positions you can't very well hold without knowing how to manage, move, and leverage knowledge within the company. All that managing, moving, and leveraging is even more critical when the company is a large logistics company. (After all, that's what logistics is all about, isn't it? Form follows function as they say.) Add to those skills extensive project management experience, a gift for aligning information systems with business goals, and an incredible attention to detail, and that's Shanon... or at least it's a start. A graduate of the University of Arkansas and a native Arkansan, Shanon does Arkansas proud.
