Reel-Scout Builds Location Gallery for Hawaii Island Film Office

Using its global locations search site LocationsHub as a foundation, Reel-Scout has built a location gallery that integrates with the Hawai‘i Island Film Office's website and displays the locations that are part of the Hawaii Island Film Office's LocationsHub account.

The Hawai‘i Island Film Office can control which locations are visible through the gallery by marking them public or private. All locations marked public are viewable both through the website gallery as well as through LocationsHub itself. This way, each location listed receives double the exposure.

In addition to the public searching capability that the gallery offers, the Hawaii Island Film Office can create collections of locations, called lightboxes, and share those with the productions interested in shooting on the island.

Being the largest and most diverse of all the Hawaiian islands and 63% of the state’s entire land mass, Hawai‘i Island offers a unique environment for filming with its vastly diverse landscapes and locations. In addition, 90% of the island's native plants and animal species are found nowhere else in the world. It's no wonder the island can stand in for many types of locations needed for any film projects.

Whatever the budget is, Hawai‘i Island has the crew and resources to support your production from start to finish. The minimum requirement for the 25% tax incentives is only $200k.
