Townsville Film Office chooses Reel-Scout to build its SEI (Search Engine Integration). This will allow the Townsville Film Office to manage and promote all of its filming locations by leveraging the Reel-Scout system of Screen Queensland. Those locations will then display through the Townsville Film Office's website.
The City of Townsville was founded in 1864 as a port for North Queensland. Following the discovery of gold in the immediate hinterland at Ravenswood and Charters Towers, the town became the principal center and de facto capital of North Queensland. Townsville City Council supports and facilitates initiatives that foster the creative industries, such as the film industry, in Townsville.
