Nat Geo to Film "Killing Kennedy" in Richmond, Virginia

Rob Lowe of NBC's Parks and Recreation and Ginnifer Goodwin of Once Upon a Time will star as President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy in the upcoming drama Killing Kennedy. National Geographic announced recently that filming will begin this month in the Richmond, Virginia area.

Based on the best-selling book by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard, Killing Kennedy is slated to premiere later this year, in time for the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy's assassination.

In February 2013, Nat Geo's Killing Lincoln, also based on an O'Reilly book and also filmed in historic Richmond, was the most-watched show in the channel's history. Steven Spielberg's Lincoln was also filmed here.

Nelson McCormick, who has previously worked on The West Wing, ER, Southland, The Good Wife and The Closer will direct Killing Kennedy.
