Clayton County Film Office Chooses Reel-Scout

Clayton County Film Office ("Film Clayton") has chosen Reel-Scout™ as its location and project and crew management solution. In doing so, Film Clayton becomes the second film office in Georgia to use Reel-Scout™.

Reel-Scout™ will provide a digital location library for the Film Clayton as well as a contact and project management system -- all of which will allow the office to refine current practices, respond quickly to inquiries, manage productions and work more closely with its clients.

Located in metro Atlanta, Georgia, Film Clayton is known throughout the Georgia film industry for its ability to help location managers find film locations in Clayton County that help their projects stay on time and within budget. Clayton County offers incredibly diverse filming locations that includes man-made beach, dense woods, parks, vacant retail, film-friendly hospitals, vacant prisons, sound stages and much more. The majority of a film’s scenes can be accommodated in this one area of metro Atlanta, saving productions valuable time and money.

Many major motion pictures have filmed in Clayton County. Among them are Joyful Noise, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, and Flight.

As impressive as the list of productions is so far, Film Clayton is probably most famous for being one of the film locations for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. In 2012, The Catching Fire film crew and cast spent weeks at Clayton County International Park, transforming the location into one of the film’s most iconic features, the Cornucopia.
