Governor Appoints Tara Gardner to Maine State Film Commission

The Governor of Maine's latest appointment to the Maine State Film Commission is Tara Gardner, Film Production Manager at the prestigious Maine Media Workshops & College.

A board of volunteers, hand-selected by the Governor of Maine, the Commission advises the Maine Film Office in its mission to bring film, television and other media projects to Maine.

"I am both honored and delighted by the Governor's invitation to join the Maine Film Commission," says Gardner.

Gardner came to Maine Media Workshops after years of working as a producer on The Chris Rock Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live. In her role as Film Production Manager at Maine Media Workshops, Gardner brings her "creative expertise" and "endless rockstar connections" to the school's film programs.

"I'm happiest when I see talented filmmakers from around the world connect, share vision, and raise the level of their art and their ability to tell stories," says Gardner.

Now the entire State of Maine and local filmmakers will also get to benefit from Ms. Gardner's skills.
