Yes. Since Reel-Scout™ is a web-based system, the digital library component of each Reel-Scout™ system could be made accessible to the general public if the film office desires. That said, the film office could control what data associated with each of those locations could be seen. If, for example, the film office didn’t want the person searching locations to see the address of that location, then the address would not appear.What are the advantages of having project data, contact information, and location records all in one system?Reel-Scout™’s integrated platform means that the film office has a record of everything it’s done to land a project – no more pouring through emails to see what .jpegs were sent to whom, no more looking for phone numbers on scraps of paper, no more manila folders full of project data.How much "photoshopping" do we have to do with our images for Reel-Scout™?None. Since Reel-Scout™ responds to inquiry through customized, on-line packages, no images are actually emailed. Consequently, there is no longer any need to cut images down to a size that is suitable for emailing. Further, when images are uploaded into Reel-Scout™, the system creates from the original large image a medium version and a thumbnail, so location manager can see image in as much or little detail as desired. Simply set your camera (or your scanner) at the specifications we will give you, take your shots (or scan), and upload. Nothing else is needed.What are the additional costs per user for Reel-Scout™?There are no “per user” or seat license costs with Reel-Scout™. As an enterprise system, Reel-Scout™ is available to the entire film office and its constituents regardless of the number of users.If we opt for the hosted model initially, can we change to the purchase model at a later date?Yes. If your office would like to get up and running quickly with the hosted model but, at some point, move the system to your home state, that is not a problem. Reel-Scout™ works independently of platform or operating system. As long as you can get to the Internet, you can get to Reel-Scout™. Further, no software installation is required either for the film office itself or for the recipients of the Reel-Scout™ packages. Reel-Scout™ is accessed via a standard Internet browser.
